Terms of service

These terms cover your use of wopwop (wopwop.app), including the website, the app and Wop, its assistant. By creating an account or using wopwop you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use wopwop. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

1. What wopwop does

wopwop helps you run Instagram Business and Creator accounts. When you connect an account and turn the jobs on, Wop answers direct messages, replies to comments on your posts, and publishes posts you schedule. It hands a chat to you when a customer is upset or asks for a person. wopwop is an early, invite-only service, so features may change as it grows.

2. Your account

  • You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 18.
  • Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password, and your authenticator app if you use 2FA, secure.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@wopwop.app if you think someone else is using it.
  • wopwop is invite-only. Only emails on the allowed list can create an account, and invites you send are for people you know.

3. Instagram and Meta

  • You may only connect Instagram accounts you own or are authorized to manage. Connecting one lets wopwop read and send messages, comments and posts on it, through Instagram's official API, for the jobs you turn on.
  • You must follow Instagram's Terms of Use, Community Guidelines and messaging rules. Wop works within Instagram's limits, such as only answering messages it is allowed to answer.
  • wopwop is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Meta or Instagram. Instagram can change or limit API access at any time, which can stop features from working until an account is reconnected.
  • You can remove wopwop's access at any time in Instagram, under Settings → Apps and websites.

4. AI-written replies

  • Wop writes replies with third-party AI models, using the business details, knowledge, rules and keyword replies you give it. Replies can be wrong or incomplete, so keep that information accurate and check Wop's activity.
  • Wop's direct messages say they were written by an automated assistant, and you can take over any chat.
  • Don't use Wop for advice where a mistake could cause harm, such as medical, legal, financial or emergency matters. You're responsible for the replies and posts sent from your accounts.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you add to wopwop: posts, captions, media, business details and settings. You give us permission to store, process and send it only as needed to run wopwop for you, including sharing message text with our AI providers to draft replies. You confirm you have the rights to what you publish.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use wopwop to:

  • send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or messages to people who haven't contacted you;
  • harass, deceive, impersonate or mislead anyone, or pretend Wop is a person when asked;
  • post or send anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • break Instagram's rules or get around its limits;
  • probe, overload, scrape, copy or reverse engineer wopwop, or access it other than through the app.

We may pause Wop, suspend or ban an account that breaks these rules, and remove its access right away.

7. Price

wopwop is free while it is invite-only. If paid plans start, we'll tell you the price and terms before anything is charged, and you'll choose whether to pay.

8. Availability

We work to keep wopwop running, but it is provided as is. It may be unavailable at times, and messages, replies or scheduled posts can be delayed or fail, for example when Instagram is down or an account needs reconnecting. We'll tell you in the app or by email when something needs your attention.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using wopwop at any time and delete your account in Security → Danger Zone. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering wopwop, and we'll tell you when we can. What happens to your data is described in the privacy policy.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent the law allows, wopwop is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales, lost customers or lost data, or for anything Instagram or our providers do. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll email account holders and show a notice in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed. Using wopwop after that means you accept the new terms.
